I chuckle every time I walk past these storefront signs because, with no attempt at subtlety, they suggest our diverse mental states as we race through our lives - from euphoria to insomnia, and stations in between.

Their actual locations are scattered across the city. But perhaps, I thought, I could transport them into a single region where they might fly next to each other and implicitly comment on each other.

And maybe the composition would imply a sheepish admission, something about the more euphoric our mood, the more likely we are to lose our rest.

Or maybe, it would all just be fun – for me to create and for you to inspect. Anyway, the result is one of a series of fantastical compositions I’m calling Conceptualities.
